Missions
You are never too old to set another goal or to dream a new dream.
Our aim is to provide people with an opportunity to be informed about a particular area of ministry and give towards supporting the ministries in which the Presbyterian Church is involved.
Australian Presbyterian World Mission is the coordinating body within our denomination in Australia, and it partners with a range of home churches in ministries in Japan, Malawi, Myanmar, Sudan, Timor Leste, Vanuatu & Zambia, as well as an Australian Indigineous Ministry.
In Japan, the partnership is with Mission to the World, the overseas mission arm of thePresbyterian Church of America. John and Rosemary Evans serve with the Presbyterian Church of Japan in church planting in Chiba City, near Tokyo.
It’s been said, If you want to go faster, go alone; if you want to go longer, go with someone. Proshikkhon, a short-term training program for benefit of tribal Christians in South Asia, demonstrates the benefits of working side-by-side with national colleagues, working in partnership. Proshikkhon 2015 is planned to leave Australia late December 2014. Contact for further details.
God is doing wonderful things among our brothers and sisters, and it is our priviledge through our prayers and gifts to strengthen their hands.
